Grooming & Boarding

As a full service pet care provider, Abel-Keppy provides two special services for both pets and their owners.

Grooming
Keeping your pet clean and well groomed does more than just improve his physical appearance. There are distinct health advantages, too. For
instance: dirty, matted fur on your dog or cat can aggravate existing skin conditions and create a safe harbor for unwanted fleas, ticks and other tiny, unwanted creatures. Properly clipped nails, cleaned ears and periodically expressed canine anal glands can also help prevent health problems.

To be sure your animal companion receives the best grooming service available, Abel-Keppy employs professional groomers and maintains fully equipped in-house grooming facilities. In addition to clips, trims and standard baths for dogs and cats, our groomers can also provide medicated baths for skin problems or flea control shampoos as needed.

* For a nominal fee, a pickup and delivery service is available for housebound pet owners or owners with particularly busy schedules.

Boarding
Leaving a pet can be stressful for both the pet and the owner. The question becomes: “Where can I leave my pet where I know it will receive the proper care and attention?”

Abel-Keppy’s boarding facilities are designed for the pet’s comfort and maintained for ultimate cleanliness and uncompromising health standards. In some locations, both indoor kennels and outdoor runs are available in various sizes and an exercise yard provides ample opportunity for your pet to release a little pent up energy. Every pet is provided with his/her own soft sleeping cushion.

For everyone’s protection, written proof of vaccination must be provided for all boarders:
•Canines – Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Kennel Cough vaccinations
• Felines – Rabies, FVRCP vaccinations

We also require a current negative Fecal check on all pets left for grooming or boarding.
